Our vineyard is one of few in this small appellation that is nestled like an island within the larger Chehalem and Willamette Valley AVAs – protected by the surrounding mountains to allow for a consistently warmer and drier environment during the growing season.

Claygate Estate Vineyards Wines come from a small appellation nestled within the larger Chehalem and Willamette Valley AVAs.

Our winemaker is Todd Hamina.

Our tasting room is open by appointment and for all of the major wine tasting weekends from 11:00am – 5:00pm.

Tasting fees are $10.00 per person, refundable with wine purchase.

Claygate vineyard is located within the Ribbon Ridge AVA, a small and special appellation that is home to 6 wineries and 20 vineyards. With well-drained Willakenzie soils and a warmer, drier climate than the surrounding AVAs, our vineyard is perfectly situated.
